The highlight of our UAE/African cruise in January 2024 was our tour of Dar es Salaam. After identifying our guide, Gerry, we started our interesting tour in a very comfortable mini bus. We visited ever possible site, we were interested in, loved the beach where we had sugarcane or coconut water and freshly fried casava chips and even had time to do quite a bit of shopping assisted by our guide. At our request, we got to relax in the Goan Institute, after touring the city, with a cold glass of local beer. The hospitality of our guide was incredible. Thanks so much for an unforgettable day.

We traveled Dec 2023, got the referral from the hotel. This company, by far exceeded my expectations. From the owners to the drivers alike, everyone was friendly and respectful and took their role very seriously. We ended booking all 5 of our tours with them because they had great recommendations (I compared with other sites) and they were also generous and informative additionally. So from the city tour, the beach tour all thru to the safari tour…to include overnight accommodations and transportation…they had us covered. AND when my husband took ill and we had to postpone our trip/tour to Zanzibar….they rescheduled our hotel, tour guide and ferry transport. They even personally escorted us thru ticketing, immigration and all the way to our seats on the ferry to ensure there were no issues. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. When my husband was ill they even gave us referrals for pharmacies, medicines and remedies. It’s difficult when you are in a foreign country with a huge language barrier. I will never forget all that they did, the tours they schedule and the genuine spirit of each individual affiliated with Africars and Tours and I most certainly recommend that you book 1 if not all your tours with them. We worked with Breena Pinto for our stay in Tanzania and she did a great job. All of the hotels that she booked were very good and her communication with us during our stay was top notch. Breena’s attention to detail was excellent from the hotel bookings to an excursion to Zanzibar and airport transportation. Not a single issue for our group of nine people.
